How a Manila college trip became Roxas City's first pizza parlor
Almost 40 years of quality ingredients, generous portions, and putting customers first.
Our JourneyThe story so far
Pizza Junction's founder developed a genuine appreciation for good pizza while studying in Manila. It stuck with her.
After graduating and returning home, she noticed something missing: there wasn't a single pizza parlor in Roxas City.
She and her husband set out to change that, building Pizza Junction from the ground up between 1983 and 1985.
Pizza Junction opened as the first pizza store in the area, with the couple handling nearly everything themselves: mixing dough, baking, and serving customers at the counter.
On opening day, nobody expected so many people to line up. They never imagined that so many people would prefer takeout, so they hadn’t prepared any pizza boxes. In the days that followed, they started buying pizza boxes to meet the growing demand. As orders continued to increase, they eventually had to buy a new oven to keep up.
Noticing that many local customers preferred rice meals at lunchtime, Pizza Junction expanded the menu to include turo-turo and cooked rice dishes alongside pizza.
More than four decades later, Pizza Junction is still a family-rooted local favorite, still committed to the same philosophy it started with.
